Engagement Rings for Petite Fingers
13 Jul 2014
From time-to-time we hear from ladies who are concerned that their fingers are shorter than average and unsure what style of ring will suit them best. This is why custom designing a ring is often the best way to create the perfect fit for your finger.
Firstly, for people with fingers that appear short we suggest that it is a good idea to steer clear of wide rings. Fine, narrow rings are a much better option for creating the illusion of long fingers. Another consideration when choosing the shape of your centre stone is cuts which are elongated. Shapes such as marquise, radiant or even oval cut allows the eye to be drawn down the length of the finger making it appear longer. There are many options, so there is no need to be concerned that your choice will be limited. A good jeweller will be able to help you come up with a beautiful design that suits you and your style.
One beautiful example of an oval cut engagement ring is the ring Blake Lively recently received from Ryan Reynolds. A stunning oval cut, pale pink diamond (not something many of us could afford!) with a fine, rose gold band and encrusted with pave set diamonds.
To help you get started, here are a few of our favourite engagement rings suited to those with petite fingers.
The 'Aquarius', a class Sapphire Engagement Ring featuring a 2.50ct oval cut Ceylon Sapphire.
The 'Emerald Serenity' featuring a 1.00ct Emerald Cut Diamond.
The 'Isis' engagemement ring featuring a 1.00ct Marquise shaped diamond.
The 'Marquise' engagement ring featuring a 0.90ct Marquise shaped diamond.
