Now that you are engaged, you most likely have weddings preparations on your mind every other waking moment! No matter how slowly or quickly it feels like your big day is approaching, a serious plan should be adopted from the outset!
You are most likely discovering that, no matter how small or big your wedding is, there is a long list of things-to-do that seems never ending! From choosing a venue to finding the perfect champagne, to selecting the most delicious food, ideal flowers and romantic music, not to mention what dress you will wear! All of this comes at a cost so working out a budget will help ease the sting to the wallet and the stress. Once you have your budget, it is important to create a plan that allows sufficient time to create a stress free wedding.
One of the most important things, which can sometimes get pushed to the bottom of your to-do list, are your wedding rings. Ironically, these are arguably the most important items on your list; your wedding rings are the one tangible thing that you will take from your wedding and wear for life. So, make sure you leave plenty of time to choose your wedding rings. Consider the turn around time your jeweller requires to create a custom piece and add a couple of months for peace of mind. Having your wedding rings made at least a few months in advance will allow you to take time to make your choice, so that you are completely happy without any pressure of time. It also means that if you run into problems with your ring size, or the unlikely chance that you are not completely happy with the design, it will leave you with plentiful time for resizing and any adjustments that might need to be made.
Just remember, this is one of the biggest days of your life that you are planning. So, your big day and you, of course, will benefit from some careful forward planning!
