Janine and Richard
My dear husband did his research and chose to have Larsen Jewellery make my special engagement ring. We went away to Barrington Tops to celebrate our 7 year relationship anniversary. It was a super hot weekend and on the day of our anniversary we simply enjoyed each others’ company and explored the local bush walks.
Although I was hoping for it (as I had for a couple of years at that point) there was no proposal. The next day, however, equally as hot, we went for a walk to find the local creek (which turned out to be a very long and grueling hike). The creek, once we found it, was to die for! It flowed through white pebbles and was so fresh that even in the heat was freezing cold. Needless to say we jumped in! In the center of the creek there was a large rock which we swam out to. Whilst on the rock, I had turned my back to my husband picking up little, interesting stones. I turned to show him one which was smooth and sparked and, as I did, he was on one knee.
His voice was shaking and the first thing he said was, ”I don’t yet have a ring, but it’s being made. I wasn’t going to propose this weekend, but this moment is too perfect.”
With tears in my eyes, I handed him the stone and said, ”Here’s a rock, propose with this!” And he did! I then had to wait to receive the ring and he gave nothing away! The fact he told me he designed it himself with the jewellers which reassured me. I actually had nightmares of wearing flying saucers and nuts and bolts on my ring finger for the rest of my life. When he got the ring he again got down on one knee to give it to me. It took my breath away. I couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful ring! He knows me so well, and apparently so did the jeweller who helped him! Thank you Larsen Jewellery! We got married a year later and now have a beautiful nine week old little girl.
