From a very young age, Kate has always had a fascination with jewellery. The more detailed and intricate a piece, the more she feels drawn to it. Kate started her apprenticeship in Melbourne in 1997 and has never looked back. Kate received a gold medal in the jewellery category of the Victorian Worldskills Championships in 2002 and went on to place second in the national competition. She has also completed her Diploma in Practical Diamond Grading at the Gemmological Association of Australia.
Kate loves working with clients to continually evolve and personalise classic designs, but her favourite challenges come with the pieces inspired by an outside-the-box request or a unique concept. Kate’s favourite piece of jewellery is her white gold, apricot sapphire ring. The design was influenced by an Art Deco brooch she found in an old auction catalogue.
