Pink diamonds are the most precious of all fancy coloured diamonds. With a diminishing supply of natural pink diamonds, they are becoming more and more valuable. Pink diamonds range in colour from light pink to intense pink, with varying shades of brown, purple and champagne.
Like white diamonds, pink diamonds are also incredibly hard, resistant to wear and tear and exhibit exceptional fire and brilliance. They’re famous for exhibiting their incredible beauty in jewellery ranging from engagement rings to wedding bands to earrings and pendants.

We source pink diamonds from the Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia’s Kimberley Region. Here, the mining of diamonds is governed by strict conditions regarding sustainability and the treatment of traditional lands. We are also certified carbon neutral, and have the option of Fairtrade gold available.
Pink diamonds can be found in just about every cut, but cuts like cushion, pear, and emerald are popular as they enhance the diamond’s natural hue. Just as important as the style is the quality of the cut, as the proportions and angles of the cut play a large role in the brilliance and colour of the finished diamond. Ultimately, as long as it suits your taste, any style of well-cut pink diamond can make a stunning engagement ring.
Owing to their rarity, pink diamonds are already some of the most valuable diamonds on the market, but the colour can certainly affect its value. Generally, a deeper, more intense pink hue will be more valuable than a paler pink, but the diamond’s clarity, cut and carat – that is, the weight – are also factors.
With its complementary colour, rose gold is a traditional choice to pair with a pink diamond. White gold and platinum, as paler colours, are also great choices as they allow a pink diamond to really show off its dazzling brilliance.

Less than 1% of the Argyle Diamond Mine’s output consists of pink diamonds and the total output is diminishing, making real pink diamond engagement rings (using mined diamonds, not lab grown) highly sought after.
