Price (ring + diamond)

Refers to a naturally occurring tint that can be found in white diamonds. Colour is rated on a scale of "D" (colourless) to "Z" (tinted) in accordance with the official GIA grading scale.

Larsen Jewellery's online diamond collection does not include diamonds below clarity grade SI2. Please contact the studio if you wish to explore more clarity grades.
Diamond Cut
The Cut grade reflects the diamond's overall light performance by assessing the angles and uniformity of the facets. The GIA grading guidelines take into account: Face up appearance (brightness, fire, scintillation) and the design (facet proportions and dimensions). The GIA uses the following grades for Cut:

Round Diamonds: Excellent (EX), Very good (VG), Good (G), Fair (F) and Poor (P).

The GIA only assigns cut grades to round diamonds. On our website, other shapes are given informal cut grades based on their overall light performance and proportions. The industry recognised gradings for these are:

Fancy Shapes: Ideal, Excellent, Good or Poor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? We’re happy to answer them!

Is it safe to buy diamonds online?

All of our diamonds are carefully inspected and assessed by our in-house expert gemmologists, as well as being independently certified by GIA. Unlike other websites, we only list high quality diamonds that we have personally chosen for optimal brilliance, beauty and sparkle. We don’t include diamonds that don’t meet our high standards.

What is a natural diamond?

The diamonds listed above are all natural diamonds. A natural diamond is a diamond that has formed below the earth’s crust over the course of billions of years as a result of intense heat and pressure which causes carbon to crystalise. Volcanic eruptions push kimberlite rocks containing these crystals to the earth’s surface, where they are mined, cut and polished to become the gemstone quality diamonds you see here.

Can I choose a coloured gemstone for this design?

If you’re looking for a wider selection or something unique, like a coloured diamond or gemstone, our talented jewellers can walk you through the process of selecting the perfect stone with an online, or in store, design consultation. What is a GIA report?

A GIA report contains a scientific and unbiased statement of your diamond’s characteristics including the 4Cs. GIA tests every diamond submitted to establish its authenticity as a diamond and whether it’s been subjected to treatments. The report provides a full description of the diamond, including colour, weight, measurements, cutting style, polish, fluorescence and symmetry. To find out more, click here.
