Is tsavorite good for an engagement ring?
Yes, tsavorite can work in an engagement ring. With proper care, cleaning and maintenance, tsavorite is more suited to everyday wear than an emerald.
What does an emerald cut mean?
An emerald cut diamond or other centre stone has no particular meaning — The cut is designed to take advantage of the natural crystal shape of emerald, which is how the cut originated. It’s a step cut style and gained popularity during the Art Deco period for its repeating, parallel facets.
Why don't emerald cut diamonds sparkle?
Emerald cut stones reflect light less when compared to other cuts, particularly the round brilliant cut. This is due to the step cut style having less facets to reflect the light back to the eye. Step cut designs are more transparent and it is important to keep your diamond or gemstone clean if it is cut this way.
