What is a bezel on an engagement ring?
A bezel is a type of setting that entirely encases the centre stone, and is generally recommended if you work with your hands, have an active lifestyle, or are particularly concerned about knocks and bumps.
Does bezel setting make diamond look smaller?
No, actually the opposite. While it does hide a bit of the actual stone, bezel settings will often make the centre stone, diamond or otherwise, look larger, because the setting hugs the entire outside edge of the stone, adding to the size.
