Is a proposal ring suited for everyday wear?
We wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear over a long period of time. It’s made to be a temporary placeholder until you have your perfect engagement ring.
Can it be resized?
No, our proposal rings can’t be resized; if it’s still unworn, we’re happy to exchange it for one of our standard sizes (XS, S, M, L).
Is a proposal ring the same as an engagement ring?
Yes – most commonly, proposal rings are temporary engagement rings to be used for the proposal and worn while a couple decides on the final design of the ring. This can help a proposal be about the moment, rather than the ring.
Which finger should I wear a proposal ring on?
As a temporary engagement ring, it should be worn on the same finger as your engagement ring. In Australia, that’s usually your ring finger on your left hand, though different cultures have different traditions.
How much should a proposal ring cost?
As a temporary engagement ring, the cost of a proposal ring can be relatively low when compared to a designed and fitted engagement ring with a centre stone. We offer ours at $300, and our engagement rings range from around $3,000 up to whatever budget you’re comfortable with.
