What is the difference between London blue topaz and Swiss blue topaz?
The difference between London and Swiss blue topaz comes down to the shade — London blue topaz is typically darker, closer to a navy colour, where Swiss blue is lighter, usually a mid-shade of blue, slightly darker than sky blue.
Can you wear blue topaz in the shower?
We advise against wearing blue topaz in the shower, as we do with most precious and semiprecious stones. This is because chemicals in the water or your shower products will leave residue build up on the stones.
Can I wear topaz everyday?
Yes you can wear topaz everyday, in earrings, rings, necklaces or any other jewellery. They’re an 8 on the Moh’s scale of hardness, so are rather durable to everyday wear with proper care.
